Established in 2019, The Small Business Resource Center has been helping the community. The Small Business Resource Center provides support and training for start-ups and businesses. They also recognize the need for places a community need to work and live. We are on a missing to build affordable housing for the underserviced community (seniors, veterans, troubled teens, and formerly incarcerated citizens so they can live improved lives. Harmony Senior Housings First Project will be 500 N 3 rd St. Reading Pa, a 188 to 244 unit apartment building serving seniors on fixed incomes with lower than market rates.

Our Team

Peter B Gustis – CEO and Founder

Pete has been involved in real estate and sales for his entire life. His many accomplishments are attending Penn st and getting a graduate certification at The Wharton School of Business. He has been in realtor for the past 17 years and a serial entrepreneur. Pete has been featured in many publications and is a best-selling author on Amazon. “In the past few years I have seen so many seniors on fixed incomes being forced out of their homes due to rising rent rates & property taxes they cannot afford. Trying to help them one at a time is a fools game. With your support we can help many seniors by providing a safe space they can live a higher quality life without the fear of eviction or unfair rent increases and at the same time remove blight from a community at Harmony Senior Housing.

Ken Petrini, Esq

Ken Petrini, a corporate attorney who will help only in a part-time basis. Ken is a graduate from the University of Scranton and completed his Doctor of Law in 1982 at The University of Notre Dame Law School.  He had worked 21 years as the VP Tax for Air Products. He then focused on his own self- employment as a corporate attorney for the past 34 years and is currently focused on this self- employment, for family law, criminal law, and often pro bono work due to the fact he finds a gap in public defenders based on income and citizens that need legal help but can’t afford to pay an attorney. Ken is semi-retired who also does part-time work as a comedian helping to operate the Pocono Cinema and Cultural Center in East Stroudsburg.

Joseph T Bambrick, Esq

Joseph T Bambrick, Esquire whom is local to the business location and been a practicing attorney for the past 38 years. He is experienced with application for zoning and permits. Our project is conforming to the local area and we don’t anticipate any problem yet having an experienced attorney on hand will expediate any concerns.

Shiela Perez - Advisor

Shiela attended Central Penn College and is a paralegal and owner of Forward Thinking Communities. Shiela has a knack for helping people in need and a dream that we can make Reading into a great place to live and work.

Dr Millie Johnson - Financial Development Specialist

A graduate from Sunny Westchester Community College, Vassar College, and Johns Hopkins University. SseHura High Impact Consulting (SHIC) is in charge of grant writing, proposals and project management with Harmony Senior Housing.

Barbra A. Gustis - Advisor

Barbra is a Director of Advisory Services with the Urban Land Institute (ULI), managing the panel programs with logistics and operations. Through the ULI Advisory Services Program panels, ULI members integrate into communities dealing with a wide array of real estate and land use challenges to provide unbiased, expert advice and specific recommendations for improvement. Members link together with local leaders to draft a plan to revive, rethink, and restore communities around the globe to ultimately enact change and improve the lives of the people who live there.

Barbra launched her career training with Walt Disney World and Hyatt Hotels, then moved onto various roles in event and convention planning, exhibition sales, educational programming, and business development with the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy and Destinations International. With over 25 years of experience in the business of meetings industry, she brings her logistician and leadership skills to each program and event executed. Barbra is credentialed as a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), and holds undergrad and graduate degrees from East Stroudsburg University, East Stroudsburg, PA.

Brian McCue, MA, LPC, CAADC, CTTP

Brian has 20 years experience providing supports to those experiencing mental health, intellectual disabilities, and drug and alcohol challenges across the life-span. He has a masters degree in clinical counseling and is licensed in the state of Pennsylvania as a professional counselor. He has certifications in drug and alcohol and trauma treatment. He has experience across all levels of care with direct support, supervision, marketing, human resources, program implementation, and various executive roles. He has experience opening and operating his own organizations. He has managed organizations where he was responsible for the majority of the operations of 50 program homes. More recently he has been working as an Adjunct Professor and consultant. He operates as a therapist supervisor in a private practice and is working on publishing his own treatment manuals. Finally, he operates as an owner of his own real estate venture.

Migdalia Nieves de Melendez – Property Manager

Property Manager with over 40 years’ experience in the industry. Migdalia is born in Puerto Rico and has been a long-time local, Reading, resident who manages properties for serval different property owners and investors as well as her own properties. Migdalia is happy to bring her experience and personality to help the seniors at Harmony Senior Housing.
